hummingbirds are drinking at our feeder every 10 minutes or so. WE have seen 3 together, so we assume there must be at least a 4th one to make 2 pairs. I had noticed that one of them often flew out to this tiny tiny branch, so I zoomed in, having my arms in an impossible position, and started my wait. After every feed I hoped he'd fly back over, but nope. My mind drifted, and so did my hand, when bluejays were making a lot of noise in the next yard over. Then all of a sudden I hear the soft tweet-tweet on my left, and sure enough, there he is, perched on that little stick. He stayed long enough so I could get like 20 shots of him. This is the best one. :woohoo:
So, I guess with photography it's all about faith.. that your bird WILL land on that branch 'you' picked to focus on. :D
2 hours! I can't believe I just did that.. *shakes arms to get the blood flowing again* :lmao:

Okay i have never done a critique so i decided to try it!

First off humming birds are one of my favorite birds, and the angel that Lou got is quite amazing and the up close filmage to it is very unique! It looks original like there was no photoshop done. Wich is why i gave it a 5 star in oriinality.

And with most pictures like this people keep the bussy background and here thay dident exept for the leaf in the corner wich gave it a different feel and look to it. The vision was great because nothing was over done or under done.
The technique was not bad because you van tell other than the position to take the picture it was not that hard to make this picture amazing but some time its good to do that like this photo.

So great job please keep up the briliant work!

Wow! Such patience. Whenever I see a hummingbird, it's gone before I get a second glance.

I guess I am doomed to mediocrity as far as photography is concerned, because I will never sit, waiting for 2 hours to get a shot. :p YOU are AMAZING! :tighthug:
