This is a first draft for something I'm thinking of maybe working out on a much larger scale, like 32x40, and white ink on black background, if the idea is well received.
More like my depression poster (DD received 2011-02-08)
My initial thought was the pieces of the puzzle in the hands to actually having some of the words written on them. On this small 11x14" scale of course I couldn't do that. Hence I also didn't make the circle contain actual puzzle pieces.
Also, I am one of the lucky ones who never has been on the receiving end of gender based violence. Been talking this over with my husband all evening, and we compiled this list of words that we thought would all be relevant for empowerment, after having been victim of violence. Whatever else we could come up with, all seemed covered under what's already there. Does anybody have any suggestions? See something that's clearly missing, really should be there?
