Dodge Dart. Dynamic. traditional. by Lou-in-Canada Dodge Dart. Dynamic. traditional. by Lou-in-Canada
Traditional. Staedtler pigment liners, Pro-, Touch- and Prismacolor - markers on artboard 16x20.
Now this was a lot of squares. My hand, fingers, wrist are sore now. Every square required a different hand position to colour them. I'll need a couple o days before I could do another  Anyway, here we go:

circular motion for the cycles of the engine, the steeringwheel and the speed
colour gradients for the smooth transitions and handling of the vehicle
grey lines for the hubcap rims, paved streets and highways
the red for the taillights as the Dodge Dart dissappears around the curve in the road ahead
and of course, the colour of the car itself
Dodge Dart? Dynamic! :D

ETA added background :D

Cela m'a donne beaucoup d'inspiration.

This will clearly be on top 2! And defo a winner in Traditional.

I just looked into it deeply for a sec. Crap! My ADD is acting up again! I can never see myself sitting through this. Looking at those perfect lil squares! If someone had asked me to do it, I probably would've ripped the freaking paper into pieces and break all the color markers within first few sec. And the background! Oh shivers.

Job well done!

and I forgot. yes, the woodburning piece haha. It is my own favorite for the win. The one next to it, the tin piece, doesn't equal the number of faves, but I think it's a very unique piece too, so I put it second. Number 3 same thing, very unique, so I put it on top so it could get noticed more :D It's nice to find out new art on DA. I had never seen those 3 types before :)

haha, no I won't. I arranged the gallery so the top comment getters are at the top. Comments dont' always equal the numbers of faves, but it's probably close in popularity. Allthough that doesn't have to influence the judges, they're supposed to judge according to their 3 categories. Anyways, mine are way down from winning  I don't mind it though, I had a blast participating. In a way it'll be a shame when it's over, won't it? :lmao:

hahaha HawkEyes, that made me laugh so hard. Yes, it was a long, tedious one. But I really really enjoyed it! Although after a while your eyes do goa bit funny with all those shades of red. This one I had to stay extremely focus to make sure I didn't mess it up. I'm very happy with the result. So glad you like it too! I don't know that it would be a winner, but I'm hoping very much of course it would at least become a semi-finalist :w00t:
